WebEach test scale has 10 bands and all year levels are reported on the same scale. Six bands are reported for each year level for each test. The single scale allows students, teachers and parents to monitor progress across the years and compare results to those in previous years as students advance through school. Webachieving at least three A-levels at A or better in 2014 was 29,071. This corresponds to 12.4% of the total number of candidates taking at least one A-level and 16.9% of those taking at least three A-levels. Results show that the fraction of candidates achieving three A* (or better) was less than 3% of the total number of A-level candidates.
