If for some reason the interface is reporting that it's 10 then you'd have a max theoretical bandwidth of 1.2MB/s considering overhead that could equate to 800KB/s. This is just a theory though. The upload is slower than desktop, but is fine. Both the laptop and desktop are plugged into the same switch. I have tried swapping the cables and ports and it doesn't fix the issue.
